With NZTA increasing their subsidy on certain transport projects to 75.5%, there is an opportunity that a couple of significant transport projects in the ward will be brought forward at the next Annual Plan, while at the same time not increasing the budget.

Council approves 40 km/h speed limit for Prestons subdivision
This week the Council voted in favour of a staff recommendation that the speed limit in the Prestons subdivision be reduced to 40 km/h. This is despite a motion to recommend this change being voted down at a recent joint meeting of community boards.
