[NOW HISTORICAL] COVID-19 location of interest in Papanui

Mitre 10 MEGA Papanui has been identified as a COVID-19 location of interest. People who were in the store on Sunday 26 December between 5:55pm – 6:25pm are advised to self-monitor for symptoms, and if symptoms develop, get tested and stay at home until a negative test result is received.

Other Christchurch locations recently added include Ilam New World, Pak’nSave Riccarton, and Countdown Spitfire Square. The Ministry of Health location of interest page is updated hourly with places and times where the public may have been exposed to COVID-19:

Nor’West News: Board changes schedule for 2022

The Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board’s 2022 meeting schedule has been “slashed” from a possible 14 to 8 ordinary meetings between February and September. The Board has also decided that monthly briefings through the same period will include a thirty minute live-streamed public forum. 3 December Community Board meeting outcomes

At the 3 December meeting, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board: received public forum presentations on a St Albans innovating streets project and on cycleway issues in the Cranford & Rutland Street area; approved a grant from the Board’s Youth Development Fund; adopted a meeting schedule for 2022; appointed a recess committee for the December to February period; and received an area report on issues and initiatives within the Board area. Representation review outcome

There’ll be minor changes to the boundaries of Papanui Ward for the 2022 election, and the local Community Board will change from Papanui-Innes to be the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board, with two board members and one councillor elected from each of the three Wards.
