Papanui Community Fun Day
There’s nothing better than a Community that is truly united, one which looks out for its own and seeks to see each other thrive.
On Sunday, February 11th, Papanui Youth Development Trust (PYDT) along with many other incredible local community groups are hosting Whakaoho, a fun, family-focused event.
Come down for the afternoon to grab lunch at some fantastic food stalls, be entertained with Live Music & Dance performed by people from our community, have a go at Stone Carving, getting a Spray Tattoo and have a great time playing on the free Bouncy Castle, Horizontal Bungee, Sumo Suits while getting some great shots in the free Photo Booth.
This is truly an event not to be missed! Bring the family and support some great local community groups.
Free Sausages for the kids!
61 Sawyers Arms Rd, Northcote
Many thanks to the groups and performers involved in the event:

You can read comments from Papanui-Innes Board Chair Ali Jones, and Papanui Councillor Mike Davidson in the article on page 3 of the 16 January issue. Northcote residents, here’s an opportunity to meet the team from Neighbourhood Links – Northcote/Redwood, and others who live locally. 11am to 1pm next Friday 26 January at the Redwood Library. See the Neighborhood Links post for details and maybe also give their page a ‘like’.
Hey Northcote, come see myself and Angie next week outside the Redwood Library, we have free hot drinks & sushi for the first 50 people that come down and have a chat. I want to hear your ideas for the community for 2018 🙂
The Redwood Plunket room has been unused since 2014. Our Community Board has plans for the building to be refurbished for use by a local community worker. The timing of this isn’t clear, but it is one of the local issues that Think Papanui will continue to cover.
