The Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board will meet this Friday at 9am in the Papanui boardroom. The agenda includes: the leasing of Belfast Pool to Belfast School for use by the school and community; a possible future modular pump track for the Shirley community; no stopping restrictions for Fenchurch Street at Northcote Road; a time capsule for the rebuild of the St Albans Community Centre; Board meeting arrangements for 2019; and three applications to the Board's Discretionary Response Fund. Harewood Road Corridor Study to be considered by Council this Thursday

The Harewood Road Corridor Study discusses high speeds on that road, a future Major Cycle Route, the desire for signals at the Harewood/Breens/Gardiners intersection, an expectation of higher traffic on Northcote Road & Sawyers Arms Road in the future, and reduced traffic on Harewood Road (and more). The Study is on the agenda for consideration at this Thursday’s meeting of the full Council. 23 November Board meeting outcomes

At the 23 November meeting, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board: approved an application to the Board’s Positive Youth Development Fund; left a funding application for a St Albans Community Day and Park Celebration on the table pending more information/discussion; made plans for a Recess Committee to deal with any Board issues over the December/January period;and received an area report, covering initiatives and issues current within the Community Board area.
