Recap: the week ended 22 November
Think Papanui’s curator Simon Britten rounds up stories from the past week:
The Book Club at Papanui Library met this week, as they do every third Tuesday of the month.
I posted a summary of the agenda for this morning’s meeting of the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board. I’ll post about outcomes once minutes are available.
As the thunderstorm approached on Wednesday I shared a cautionary post from the Christchurch City Council. The worst of the weather appeared to pass to the west of us.
Coming up:
- At 10am this Saturday 23 November there’ll be a Christmas-themed children’s event at Northlands Shopping Centre
- Two events – Celebrate Bishopdale and the Bishopdale Skate Jam – will run this Sunday 24 November at Bishopdale Park (the Elephant Park).
- Top post of the week was news that this coming Wednesday 27 November there’ll be a mini Christmas night market at Redwood School, from 7pm-9pm
Feedback is always welcome on Think Papanui’s content, either on Facebook or Instagram, or directly to me.
With warm regards
Simon Britten
