This Saturday 17 March from 8am to 12pm, this local community organisation is hosting a car boot sale on their site at 77 Windermere Road in Papanui. There currently remains a small number of spaces available if you would like to book a $10 spot – see the event details for more information. On Saturday 17 March Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi is holding a car boot sale on site at 77 Windermere Road in Papanui. This is a fundraiser for our Whakapakari Leadership Development Programme. Please come down between 8am-12pm to check out what is on offer, including toys, clothes, shoes, homeware, a sausage sizzle, and more. The Christchurch City Council draft Long Term Plan for 2018-2028 has been released for public feedback. This plan is the what, when, and how, of planned Council spending. Some of the key proposals are shown below, and Think Papanui will highlight some issues of local relevance over the next few weeks. Important dates to note: a local ‘have your say’ event on 21 March 6pm-8pm in the Papanui boardroom; and submissions can be made until Friday 13 April. Last-minute reminder: Kai + Consultation

Last-minute reminder for 12-24 year olds: tonight (Thu 8 March) at 5pm there’s an opportunity to learn more about, and give feedback on, ECan’s Long Term Plan. (If you use the 107 and 108 bus routes in the Papanui area, this is one way to communicate to ECan how you will be impacted by the proposed discontinuation of those services.) Have your say about the future of Canterbury!

For free food, great networking, and the opportunity to learn something new, come along to Kai + Consultation; a chance for you to be up with how you can shape the future of Canterbury!

This event is for ages 12-24

The Environment Canterbury Regional Council sets Long Term Plans (LTP) to set out a 10-year budget that includes building and renewing key infrastructure. In order for the youth voice to be heard, we’re holding Kai + Consultation, making the process easier for everyone who attends!

The Environment Canterbury Youth Engagement Team is working to equip tomorrow’s citizens to support a sustainable region.

The Christchurch Youth Council are a voice for the youth of Christchurch, wanting Christchurch to be the best city it can be, and for youth to be involved in making that happen.
