The Christchurch City Council has launched a 'short' online survey to get feedback from users and non-users on what they like and don’t like about the Lime electric scooters currently being trialled in Christchurch. Click through for more information and a link to the survey, but note that it is likely to take around 15 minutes to complete (which is longer that the 9-minute median trip time reported by Lime), so make yourself comfortable before starting. The survey doesn't currently have a closing date and is likely to be open until some time in January.

Lime electric scooters in Papanui
Lime electric scooters launched in Christchurch in October, but until now they’ve been fairly thin on the ground in Papanui. That may be changing – Think Papanui spotted several clusters of them lined up waiting for customers yesterday morning.

Papanui Postshop closing at the end of January 2019?
The current Papanui Postshop is closing at the end of January 2019. Thanks Councillor Mike Davidson – Papanui Ward for the heads-up:
“Popped into my local Postshop this morning in Papanui to do some banking and a conversation started about the impending closure of the Postshop side… there is some Good news and Bad News- the good news is that all the Private Postboxes are staying and so is Kiwibank but the bad news is that from the 1st of February the Papanui Postshop side will be gone. I asked if they were staying in Papanui as this is a very handy drop in centre for many locals but the very helpful staff knew only that NZ Post were searching for new premises.. that does not sound promising as you would think if they were not moving from Papanui completely they would have a building in their sights by now.. I will update you more on this in the New Year..”

At the Council meeting on Thursday 6 December 2018, there were two agenda items related to this study.
Agenda item 13, the Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board’s recommendation that the Council receive the Harewood Road corridor study and recommended strategies.
This motion was carried, although not supported by Cr Aaron Keown, who raised issues with discrepencies in the report.
