Celebrate Bishopdale is a local festival happening in Bishopdale Park on 19 November, with stage performers, activities for children, local community groups and market stalls. An update on the proposed Tree and Urban Forest Plan: this had been expected to be released for consultation last month, but the latest from the Council is “We will invite your ideas and feedback during October 2017.” Keep an eye out for this one as it might turn out to be only a short period for consultation/feedback.

The Christchurch City Council is undertaking a survey on wheelie bin collection days. There’s also an option to sign up to participate in a workshop to discuss how Council deals with wheelie bins and household waste. Click through for details:

Great news: the pre-Christmas night market is running again this year, on 11 November at Northcity Church on Sawyers Arms Rd in Papanui. Over 80 stalls, with a focus on hand-crafted and unique items.
