This Sat 27 August: Cranford Basin Kahikatea Forest Community Planting

Conservation Volunteers New Zealand are holding a planting day at the Cranford Basin Kahikatea Forest this Saturday 27 August from 10am to 1pm. See the Facebook Event for more information and a link to register.

We are working in conjunction with Christchurch City Council to plant a forest of 40,000 kahikatea trees in a wetland area that will provide stormwater retention services as well as enhancing urban biodiversity.
Meeting point: 103 Philpotts Rd, Mairehau. For more accurate directions, put #63 Philpotts Rd into your GPS.
Please bring your own gardening gloves, a water bottle, and wear sturdy footwear – gumboots can be helpful.
We’d love to see you there, so please register on our website (https://bookings.conservationvolunteers.org/project/cranford-basin). Contact Donna (christchurch@cvnz.org.nz) 021 457 568 for more information.
