At their meeting on 24 May, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board: approved one application to the Board's Discretionary Response Fund and deferred decisions on two others; approved two applications to the Board's Positive Youth Development Fund; and received an area report covering initiatives and issues current within the Community Board area. The Board also asked staff to follow up on the possible installation of traffic lights at the Langdons/Greers intersection – as has been covered on Think Papanui, lights at that intersection are a resource consent requirement for the final stage of the Langdons Rd retail development, but aren't funded in the Council's budget and aren't required prior to Kmart opening on the site.
