With the move to Alert Level 2 today a number of local events have been cancelled, postponed, or altered in format. Brass on the Grass at St Paul's Papanui is not going ahead this afternoon. The Ōtautahi Together concert in the Botanic Gardens has changed to an online-only format. Ōtautahi Together concludes the commemorative programme to mark 10 years since the Christchurch earthquake. At the 19 February meeting, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board: received four public forum presentations; approved road names for a subdivision in Belfast; approved the three-month trial of bus priority lanes on Cranford Street; approved two grants from the Board's Discretionary Response Fund; and received a staff report on issues and initiatives within the Board area. Think Papanui was on site this morning for the unveiling and blessing of new storyboards installed along the CNC shared path. 11 signs between the Waimakariri Bridge and Cranford Street depict the history of the area and the importance of the environment along the route. The committee will consider making submissions on behalf of the Board on: the Wheels to Wings Major Cycleway Project; the Draft Christchurch Central City Parking Policy; Managing Noise from the Canterbury Multi-Use Arena; and on the proposed amendments to the Christchurch District Plan policies and rules regarding significant indigenous vegetation in the coastal environment.
