This Saturday 29 May from 10am there’ll be a community planting day at the Cranford Basin Kahikatea Forest. Conservation Volunteers New Zealand are working with the Christchurch City Council to plant a total of 40,000 kahikatea trees in the wetland area that will provide stormwater retention services as well as enhancing urban biodiversity.
