The Council has released tree planting plans for fourteen parks across the city as part of the Ōtautahi-Christchurch Urban Forest Plan. In Redwood Park (pictured) over 200 new trees are proposed.

Following strong public support in feedback on the Council’s annual plan, this week Councillors unanimously agreed to start construction on the Wheels to Wings cycleway as soon as staff and local Councillors have completed further work with the affected communities to address previously identified concerns as part of the detailed design process.

Work to renew the water supply mains and sub-mains in Condell Avenue between Blighs and Aorangi Roads will get underway next week.
