Neighbourhood Week was the brainchild of the Shirley-Papanui Community Board (now known as the Papanui-Innes Community Board), which held the first event in 1998. Three years ago the Council extended the event for the whole summer after feedback from applicants and it is now known as Summer with your Neighbours. Applications will close at 5pm on Friday 12 August 2022. You can find more information and an online application form at http://ccc.govt.nz/GetTogether, and also hard copy forms are available from Council service centres for those who do not have easy access to the internet.
