Panel to consider Colombo St cycle connection
Consultation update: on Monday 23 November a Hearings Panel will consider the proposed Colombo Street Cycle Route Connection. The panel includes Mike Davidson – Councillor for Papanui and two other City Councillors. The meeting is open to the public, and will be held in Committee Room 1 in the Hereford Street civic offices.

Polyphony: youth voice art exhibition
On 24 & 25 November there’s an opportunity to see and hear voices of local young people through the Te Ora Hou Otautahi Polyphony exhibition. Each evening from 6-8pm young people will be present to share their art, and the exhibition will also be open through the day on the 25th. See Te Ora Hou’s post for more information:

4 November Board meeting outcomes
At the 4 November meeting, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board:

- received three public forum presentations;
- received a report on Innes Road zebra crossing improvements;
- approved $2,000 in funding towards transport costs for students for civic education purposes;
- requested a memo on next steps regarding the activation of the 10 Shirley Road site;
- ring-fenced $15,000 towards the cost of projects on the 10 Shirley Road site;
- and scheduled a submissions committee meeting for the 11th of November.

The Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board will meet this Friday 20 November at 9:15am in the Papanui boardroom. The agenda includes: five reports back from young people funded by the Board’s Positive Youth Development Fund; a staff recommendation to allocate funding to local youth events including skate jams, a pool party, and Dusk to Dawn; and an area report on initiatives and issues current within the Community Board area. Celebrate Bishopdale: Sunday 22 November
Celebrate Bishopdale is coming up on Sunday 22 November from 11am to 2pm at the Elephant Park. There’ll be stage performances from local schools and groups, as well as information stalls, have-a-go activities, arts and crafts.
