Watch out for heavy traffic through Redwood & Belfast this morning following this crash on Marshlands Road. Follow Transport for Christchurch for updates.


6:20AM 3NOV – CRASH – ROAD CLOSED – MARSHLAND RD

Due to a serious crash Marshland Rd is being CLOSED between Main North Rd and Prestons Rd.

Detours are in place:

Southbound traffic detoured will continue on Main North Rd towards Dickeys Rd and through Belfast.

Northbound traffic will be detoured along Prestons Rd and onto Main North Rd.

Motorists heading into the city from Kaiapoi that would normally use Main North Rd over the Old Waimakariri Bridge are advised to use the Tram Rd on-ramp and use the Northern Motorway at this time.

Motorists are advised to expect delays as morning traffic increases. ^JP

From today 1 November, public drop-in sessions are Wednesdays 3pm-5pm and Fridays 10am-12pm. You will find information and the design plans on display, and you can ask questions and give feedback on the project.
