In this week’s Nor’West News, NZ Post confirms the Papanui PostShop will close on 1 February 2019. The intention is to open a new branch in the premises of a local business, but it is not yet known where or when.
A limited number of potted vege plants are being given away at the Papanui Library today (Tuesday 18 December). See the Community Board’s post for details:

The Christchurch City Council has launched a 'short' online survey to get feedback from users and non-users on what they like and don’t like about the Lime electric scooters currently being trialled in Christchurch. Click through for more information and a link to the survey, but note that it is likely to take around 15 minutes to complete (which is longer that the 9-minute median trip time reported by Lime), so make yourself comfortable before starting. The survey doesn't currently have a closing date and is likely to be open until some time in January.

Lime electric scooters launched in Christchurch in October, but until now they’ve been fairly thin on the ground in Papanui. That may be changing – Think Papanui spotted several clusters of them lined up waiting for customers yesterday morning.
