QEII Drive closed tonight Tuesday 3 March

QEII Drive will be closed in both directions tonight Tuesday 3 March, between Main North Rd and the Innes Rd roundabout, from 9pm until 6am tomorrow. This is for a concrete pour on the CNC overbridge. There's a chance that wet weather could extend the work for one or two extra nights. Click through for more information:

The Rotary Club of Papanui have their annual trail The Rotary Club of Papanui have their annual trailer raffle underway at Northlands Shopping Centre. Raffle tickets are for sale until 24 November - $5 each or $20 for a book of five. Payment can be made by cash, EFTPOS (not paywave) or bank transfer. The Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board The Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board will meet this Thursday 14 November at 10am in the Papanui boardroom. The majority of the meeting time is likely to be taken up with consideration of options for Cranford Street between Innes Road and Berwick Street (recommended clearway option pictured). The agenda also includes: proposed laneway names for the performing arts precinct; an application to the Board's Discretionary Response Fund; and an area report with an overview of initiatives and issues within the Board area. On Thursday 10 October, the Waipapa Papanui-Innes- On Thursday 10 October, the Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board: received presentations from members of the public; received briefings from staff on the Council's customer service system and from New Zealand Police; approved parking restrictions on Somme Street, Vagues Road, St Asaph Street, Cornwall Street, and Madras Street; approved three grants from the Board's Discretionary Response Fund; allocated funding towards Community Pride Garden Awards for 2025; and received an area report with an overview of initiatives and issues within the Board area. A motion to refer the Board's delegation as final decision-maker on the option for a peak-hour clearway on Cranford Street (between Innes Road and Berwick Street) to the Council was lost. The Board will next meet on Thursday 14 November at 10am (note the variation to the usual meeting day & time). Turning in and out of Langdons Road at Greers Road Turning in and out of Langdons Road at Greers Road just got a whole lot easier, with traffic lights commissioned a month ahead of schedule. The intersection of Reynolds Avenue and Greers Road was closed when Think Papanui visited this morning, but was looking very ready to reopen.
