Young people in Papanui (and beyond): are you interested in learning more about Youth Community Boards? Could you be part of a group connecting with your local community board? This Monday 31 July there’s a two hour workshop with the Christchurch Youth Council happening at the Christchurch City Council office. On Monday 31st July attend a 2 hour workshop on the development of Christchurch Youth Community Boards.
– Find out what a Community Board is, how they work and what they do.
– Hear about the current Youth Community Board in Christchurch.
– Work with other young people to determine what you love about your community and could be improved.
– Hear about different trainings and programmes that could assist you.
– Start the conversation about a youth community board in your own community.
The purpose of this workshop is to create a working group of young people who would be interested in being involved in setting the foundations of a Youth Community Board in their ward.
