Community engagement in the Papanui Ward in Christchurch, New Zealand
Upcoming public holidays will result in changes to Christchurch’s kerbside collection service. There will be no collection this Friday 15 April – bins normally emptied on a Friday will be emptied on Saturday instead. There will be no collection service on Monday 25 April, and all collections that week will be a day later than normal. Click through to read more:

To improve road safety in Papanui the Christchurch City Council is proposing a reduction in the speed limit on selected streets. The existing 30km/h limit around the Sisson/Langdons area is proposed to be extended along Langdons Road past Northlink, with other local streets changing to 40km/h. The submissions committee of the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board will meet at 9:30am on Monday 4 April to consider making submissions to the Christchurch City Council on: the Draft Annual Plan; opting out of kerbside collection; rates on vacant central city land; policy on Māori freehold land. Under the current provisions of the Covid-19 Protection Framework (the Traffic Alert system) meeting attendance is only possible via an Audio/Visual link.
