28 June Board meeting outcomes
At their meeting on 28 June, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board: approved a Stop control and No Stopping lines at the intersection of Nyoli Street and Sawyers Arms Road; approved a grant to St Albans Community Preschool; laid Aratupu Preschool’s grant application on the table, awaiting the new financial year when more funding will be available; approved a Positive Youth Development grant; and more. Burst water main causes flooding and traffic disruption
A burst water main has caused flooding and traffic disruption on Rutland St and at the Cranford/Innes intersection. Take care if you’re in the area, and follow Transport for Christchurch for updates.

Vote NZ: election enrolment
In the lead-up to this year’s local body elections, the Electoral Commission has launched a new website – vote.nz – to help people enrol to vote and/or check their enrolment. 30km/h slow zone proposed for Papanui
The Christchurch City Council is asking for feedback on a proposal to introduce a 30km/h speed limit to improve safety in the area of Papanui High School and Northlands Shopping Centre. This proposal is open for feedback until 22 July, after which the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board will make a recommendation to the Council. Road works at Main North / Prestons Road
