Low response to Integrated Water Strategy consultation – why?
The Council is asking for feedback on a 100-year strategy for the future of our water services, and up to $10 billion is budgeted to be spent, yet there was a near-zero turnout to the drop-in information sessions over the past couple of weeks. What are the barriers to getting involved? Please comment on Facebook or message Think Papanui with your thoughts on why this big issue doesn’t seem to be attracting much interest.

Do you have feedback on the Council’s Water Strategy consultation?
Question of the day: do you know that the Council is currently consulting on a long-term water strategy? If you do know, are there any barriers to you getting involved / giving feedback? Please share your thoughts in the comments. I've been to two of the drop-in sessions and almost no-one is turning up to engage with the process. I'd love to hear from people on why this is. (For more info on the strategy, see: http://thinkpapanui.nz/water) Thanks! ^Simon.
Lane drop on Main North Road at Prestons Road
A reminder that there's a lane closed on Main North Road southbound at Prestons Road. This is planned to be in place until Monday 22 July – when Think Papanui checked it out this morning the lighter school-holiday traffic seemed to be coping okay. (Also note that there's no exit at Prestons Rd into Main North Rd due to the same roadworks.)
