Environment Canterbury’s council today approved a variation to the Regional Land Transport Plan to allow a third southbound lane, and a cycle facility, over the Waimakariri Bridge to address congestion.

At last week’s meeting, the Papanui-Innes Community Board allocated Strengthening Communities Funding to a big list of local community groups, including larger sums to Belfast Community Network, The Neighbourhood Trust, Shirley Community Trust, Te Ora Hou Otautahi, Northgate Community Services Trust, Papanui Baptist Freedom Trust, Papanui Youth Development Trust, and Te Puna Oraka – Early Years Services.
