On Thursday 9 November, the Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board: received three public forum presentations and two delegations; approved the upgrade of the Avebury Park play space; approved three grants from the Board’s Discretionary Response and Youth Development funds; and received a report on issues and initiatives within the Board area.
The Board will hold its final 2023 meeting on 14 December.

The Council’s kerbside collection continues tomorrow as normal, even though it’s a public holiday – please ensure your bins are out by 6am if Friday is your usual day. (There will be changes coming up in December/January due to the Christmas & New Year’s Day public holidays.)

Barnes Road will be closed at the railway line for a week from Sunday 12 November, while the footpath and railway crossing are upgraded as part of works to extend the Northern Line Cycleway through to Main North Road. See the works notice for more information.

The Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board will meet at 4pm on Thursday 9 November in the Papanui boardroom.
The agenda includes: public participation; renewal of the play space at Avebury Park; two applications to the Board’s Discretionary Response Fund; an application to the Board’s Youth Development Fund; and an Area Report on issues and initiatives within the Board area.
The meeting is open for the public to attend and will be livestreamed on the Board’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
