There’s been visible progress on construction of the new Papanui Kmart store on Langdons Rd this week. No word yet on a revised reopening date – watch this space.

Work has restarted on the Main North Road Bus Priority project. The contractors advise that because of physical distancing requirements, construction work will go more slowly than usual. Ongoing physical distancing requirements will affect the project end date, but they are currently exploring ways they can speed things up, like split shifts, extra work teams and extending our hours of work.
The Christchurch City Council will meet online on Thursday 30 April at 10am. The agenda includes: an update by the COVID-19 Incident Management Team Lead; changes to delegations in relation to the Resource Management Act; Biodiversity Fund project applications; a review of the Council’s Waste Minimisation and Management Plan; and public excluded items, one relating to Red Bus Ltd.
