‘Shop local’ to launch at 4pm today
A ‘shop local’ directory of businesses in the Papanui area will be launched this afternoon by Think Papanui’s curator Simon Britten. Local business owners and members of the public will be able to contribute listings. Tune in to the live stream at 4pm to learn more.

Work on Christchurch Northern Corridor to resume
Work on the Christchurch Northern Corridor (CNC) will restart next week, following the shift to Alert Level 3. The latest information on completion dates from the alliance working on the motorway project is “…at this stage we still feel we can make our December completion dates and we are working towards this.” Weather conditions over the coming few weeks may impact this, as road sealing cannot be done during the winter months. Transfer stations to re-open under Alert Level 3
In addition to kerbside recycling resuming, under Level 3 the Council’s EcoDrop transfer stations will reopen. From Tuesday 28 April it will be possible to drop off rubbish, greenwaste, hazardous items, and some recycling, but with strict controls including a booking system. Click through for details:
