At the 29 January meeting, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board:

- received a petition regarding planned residential developments in Mersey and Westminster Streets, referred the petition to the Council’s Regulatory and Performance Committee and requested a briefing on the resource consent process;
- was briefed on Orion’s 66kV cable project, to link Belfast and Prestons, and on the Cranford Street bus priority lane trial;
- approved community engagement over the proposed renaming of two reserves;
- agreed changes to the youth development fund process;
- approved an application to the Board’s Discretionary Response Fund;
- set a date for the Board’s Submissions Committee to meet (17 February); and
- received an area report on initiatives and issues within the Community Board area.
