There was a community weeding day at Papanui Bush on Tuesday – look out for this on the morning of the second Tuesday of each month.
On Tuesday evening I attended the Redwood Business & Residents’ Group meeting. If you live or work in the area, check out the Facebook page, or come along to the next meeting on 10 December.
I shared a summary of the minutes of the inaugural meeting of the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board.
By this time this recap is published, Friday’s kerbside wheelie bin collection will likely be complete. There was no change to the schedule despite the public holiday.
Free cycle skills sessions for adults are once again being run in our community.
Consultation is open on a proposed revamp of the Bishopdale skate park.
A proposal for Park & Ride and direct commuter busses from Waimakariri District to Christchurch is open for feedback.
The Christchurch App (which delivers Papanui news in partnership with Think Papanui) is the official app of the Agricultural Show.
Coming up:
Next Friday 22 November the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board will hold its first ordinary meeting of this term, at 9:15am in the Papanui boardroom. I’ll post a summary of the agenda once it’s published.

With warm regards
Simon Britten
