It looks like there is good news for users of the dirt track between Tuckers and Sturrocks roads, and there are a couple of options for the Restell Street area. Papanui residents fight rest home rebuild and expansion

The resource consent hearing for the Windermere Rest Home rebuild will take place next week. The hearing is open for the public to attend, and is set down for December 12 to 14. Think Papanui has been advised by the Council that the hearing will start at 9am each day, in Conference Room 1 in the Hereford Street Christchurch City Council building. Due to a burst water main lanes have been reduced on Prestons Rd at the Main North Rd intersection. This is likely to be in place for most of the day. Prestons Rd westbound traffic are advised to expect delays. ^LT
