Take care if you’re driving in the St Albans area – four major intersection upgrades are underway as part of the work to manage traffic downstream of the Christchurch Northern Corridor. Changes include the closure of Westminster Street will be closed at both sides of the Cranford Street intersection for the next 4 weeks, and the permanent closure of Forfar St on the north side of the Warrington St intersection. Major intersection works start in St Albans

The Christchurch City Council will meet online this Thursday 7 May at 10am. There are just two items on the agenda: the reinstatement of delegations to Community Boards (revoked in March in response to the COVID-19 situation); and a public-excluded item relating to Red Bus Ltd. There will be night work at the Cranford/Innes intersection this week, starting from 7pm tonight. The upgrade of the intersection is expected to be complete, including green & red arrows for turning traffic, in mid May. Click through for more information:
