The Christchurch City Council is proposing a new permanent alcohol ban for rugby league fields and adjoining areas, following a temporary ban during the 2019 season. “Christchurch City Council is seeking public feedback on its proposal to introduce a new permanent alcohol ban for rugby league fields and adjoining areas.”
At the 13 December meeting, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board: was briefed on the Council's external capital works map; approved the relocation of one Harewood Rd bus stop and removal of another; approved one grant from the Board's Discretionary Response Fund and two from the Positive Youth Development Fund; resolved that the Chairperson will have a casting vote; appointed a recess committee; approved governance arrangements, including a meeting schedule for 2020 and a submissions committee; appointed Board representatives on outside organisations; and received an Area Report on initiatives and issues current within the Community Board area.
