The next public planting day at the Cranford Basin Kahikatea Forest is coming up on Saturday 31 July 2021, from 10am to 1pm. Conservation Volunteers New Zealand is working in conjunction with the Christchurch City Council to plant a forest of 40,000 kahikatea trees in the Cranford Basin wetland area to provide stormwater retention services as well as enhancing urban biodiversity.
