Consultation update: the Council received 1348 submissions on the Wheels to Wings – Papanui ki Waiwhetū Major Cycleway. Themes from the feedback include: improved safety for cyclists; a safe route for children to get to school; climate change; loss of parking; traffic congestion; and cost. All submissions are now available on the project’s ‘have your say’ page. The Council is now finalising details for community information days, a Community Board workshop, and hearings.
