Council committee considers Lime scooter recommendations

Lime scooter update: on 13 February, a Christchurch City Council committee will consider staff recommendations that: (1) the Council approve a 12-month permit and increase the number of Lime scooters allowed from 700 to 1,000; (2) a rental fee be charged that relates to the public space occupied by scooters, and (3) the maximum number of e-scooters in Christchurch from all vendors be capped at 1,600 (presumably excluding privately-owned e-scooters).
