This week's Nor'West News reports that Papanui Road outside St Andrew's College is set to have a signalised pedestrian crossing installed, following a recommendation to the City Council by the Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board. The site was assessed as having the highest priority in Christchurch for a signalised crossing to support school safety.

Chaneys offramp closure: 25 October to 2 November

Papanui bus routes changing from Monday 29 October
Bus routes in the Papanui area are changing from Monday 29 October. The 108 Northlands-Casebrook will no longer operate, but will be mostly replaced by an extension to the 28 Lyttelton-Papanui service which will be renamed the 28 Lyttelton-Casebrook. 12 October Board meeting outcomes
At the 12 October meeting, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board: heard presentations from several young people who have been supported with funding from the Board; approved four proposals for stopping/parking changes, including for the intersection of Windermere Rd / St James Ave / Blighs Rd; and received the Area Report, which has information on initiatives and issues within the Community Board area.
