As previously reported, consultation on proposed changes to Cranford Street and the surrounding area has generated more than 400 submissions. The Council has now published a document summarising feedback received, as well as separate documents with all feedback and attachments. The Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board is meeting to hear feedback on Monday 6 August at 9am in the Council Chambers (Hereford Street) – submitters have been notified that they have the opportunity to speak to their feedback at this meeting. Subsequently, a draft Downstream Effects Traffic Mitigation Plan will be developed, and then individual transport projects identified in the Plan will be follow (and likely consulted on?). We’re proposing changes to Cranford Street and the surrounding roads to coincide with the completion of the Christchurch Northern Corridor. We’d like to hear your thoughts on how to make this work for commuters and local communities.
