The Christchurch City Council received 144 submissions on the proposed changes to speed limits in the Harewood and Yaldhurst areas. No changes to the propsal have been made as a result of the consultation, and the next step will happen at the Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board’s 14 May meeting. The recommended decision is that the Board recommends that Council implements the proposed changes, which include a reduction to 60km/h for the top end of Harewood & Sawyers Arms Roads, as well as Styx Mill Road and part of Gardiners Road.
