16 December Community Board meeting outcomes

On Friday 16 December, the Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board:

  • heard from Citycare’s community partnership advisor;
  • heard from members of the public regarding car parking in Mary Street and the Briggs/Marshland/Lake Terrace intersection;
  • received correspondence, including regarding flooding on Francis Avenue, and requested some actions from staff regarding this;
  • approved safety changes at the Briggs/Marshland/Lake Terrace intersection;
  • approved no stopping restrictions on Bishop Street at Purchas Street;
  • approved funding for garden awards, youth events, community liaison activities, and a new Board initiate – a school civic award;
  • approved five applications to the Board’s Discretionary Response Fund;
  • approved governance arrangements, including a meeting schedule for the term;
  • and received a report from staff on initiatives and issues within the Board area.
