On Friday 16 December, the Waipapa Papanui-Innes-Central Community Board:
- heard from Citycare’s community partnership advisor;
- heard from members of the public regarding car parking in Mary Street and the Briggs/Marshland/Lake Terrace intersection; received correspondence,
- including regarding flooding on Francis Avenue, and requested some actions from staff regarding this;
- approved safety changes at the Briggs/Marshland/Lake Terrace intersection;
- approved no stopping restrictions on Bishop Street at Purchas Street;
- approved funding for garden awards, youth events, community liaison activities, and a new Board initiate – a school civic award;
- approved five applications to the Board’s Discretionary Response Fund;
- approved governance arrangements, including a meeting schedule for the term;
- and received a report from staff on initiatives and issues within the Board area.
