Council supports residents over CNC noise concerns

At today’s Council meeting, the Chair and Deputy of the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board presented their monthly report, which was followed by a discussion on the noise issues associated with the CNC motorway. The Council has agreed that the Mayor will write to Waka Kotahi NZTA asking that the speed limit on the CNC between Radcliffe Road and Cranford Street be reduced to 60km/h until the final low-noise seal is complete, and also to write to the Minister of Transport about the existing speed limit and concerns over adverse effects on neighbouring residents.
