Christchurch’s kerbside bin collection service is starting to be impacted by staff shortages caused by rising COVID-19 case numbers. This may result in bins being collected later in the day, and delays in services such as bin swaps and repairs. “Please continue to put your bins out if they need emptying”, says the Council, but “If your bin is not full and you can hold off until the next collection cycle without having to overload it, please don’t put your bin out.” Read more:
