Earlier this year the Council announced that construction of the Main North Road bus priority project was planned from July. There has been no sign of action yet, and Think Papanui has been advised by Council that NZ Transport Agency funding for the project is not confirmed. An update is expected to be sent to businesses and affected property owners this week.
Edit: 20 August update – the Council has confirmed that work on the Main North Road bus priority project will not commence until 2020 at the earliest. There is no confirmation if or when funding from NZTA will be made available for the project and no confirmed construction timeline.
