A new Catholic church for Papanui has been announced by the Bishop, amalgamating the Bryndwr, Burnside, and Papanui Parishes.

Asphalt work on Cranford Street is progressing. On Monday there was night work outside Kidd’s Cakes and Bakery.

A community weeding day took place at Papanui Bush on Tuesday the 10th of December.

Feedback on a proposed revamp of the Bishopdale Skate Park closed on Tuesday.

QEII Drive was closed for a time on Tuesday afternoon due to a crash.

The Redwood Business and Residents’ Group met on Tuesday evening.

I posted a summary of the agenda for today’s meeting of the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board. I’ll summarise outcomes once minutes are published.
