On May 5, the Government announced the Head Start Pathway, giving councils until early August to submit proposals for local government amalgamation within their region, a process described in The Press today as forcing a fast-tracked amalgamation of local government.
Christchurch City Council is asking for feedback from the community on priorities, concerns, and the outcomes expected from any potential changes. An ‘early engagement’ survey is open for feedback until Sunday 21 June.
