2 September Community Board meeting outcomes

On Friday 2 September, the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Community Board:

    • granted a ground lease to Shirley Community Trust in relation to the MacFarlane Park Neighbourhood Centre (former Plunket building);
    • approved No Stopping restrictions in the Langdons Road area;
    • approved public transport improvements along route 17;
    • approved over $3,000 in ‘Summer with your neighbours’ grants;
    • agreed to transitional arrangements for the Board’s Youth Development Fund;
    • approved two grants from the Board’s Discretionary Response Fund;
    • and approved a signalised pedestrian crossing on Northcote Road to support the new Marian College site.

The Board will not meet again this term. Following the local body elections, a date will be set for an inaugural meeting of the Waipapa/Papanui-Innes Central Community Board.
