Online survey shows e-scooters positive for Christchurch

In December 2018 around 8,000 people responded to the Council’s survey on Lime electric scooters. The full results don’t appear to have been published – a summary is available at the link below, and a report is going to the Infrastructure, Transport and Environment Committee’s 13 February meeting. 93% of scooter users and 58% of non-users felt that the e-scooter trial was positive for the city. A significant percentage of non-users appear to have safety concerns with e-scooter use on footpaths. A majority of users and non-users think the e-scooters should stay in Christchurch after the trial.
