An update on the proposed Tree and Urban Forest Plan: this had been expected to be released for consultation last month, but the latest from the Council is “We will invite your ideas and feedback during October 2017.” Keep an eye out for this one as it might turn out to be only a short period for consultation/feedback.
The Tree and Urban Forest Plan will provide a long-term vision and strategy to maximise the health and sustainability of the city’s urban trees and forests and the benefits we receive from them.
Community Board newsletter: click through to read the latest newsletter from the Papanui-Innes Community Board:
I hope you are enjoying the sun we seem to be getting more of these days and it may even have encouraged you to roll out the BBQ to see if it needs an entire scrubbing down or is in good nick after a winter in the shed or garage.
Consultation: opportunity to have your say. The Christchurch City Council has agreed in principle to provide a grant of $10 million towards the capital cost of reinstatement of ChristChurch Cathedral, and wants to know what you think about this. From today 12 October through to 15 November you can submit feedback either online (link below) or in writing. Further details of the proposal, and a feedback form, can be found at:
