Cranford Street is being upgraded to four lanes between Innes Rd and the interchange with the Christchurch Northern Corridor (CNC). From Monday 14 October, traffic will be shifted to the east side of the road so that the west side can be milled, repaired, and resurfaced. There will be a 30km/h speed limit in place, and there will be closures and turning restrictions on the side roads in the area. For more information see the project update at:

Last days to get voting papers in
After a slow start, the participation rate in Christchurch’s local body elections is now around what it was at this stage in the 2016 election. There’s still time for you to have your say – voting papers can be dropped off at Council libraries and service centres through to 12pm this Saturday the 12th of October. QEII Drive traffic change – Fri 11 October
From Friday 11 October traffic on QEII Drive will be changed over to use the first part of the interchange that is being constructed for the Christchurch Northern Corridor. Watch out for a 30km/h zone and changed conditions in the area. For more information see the project update at:

Redwood Library ready to reopen
Ready to reopen: Redwood Library’s repairs are complete, the books are back in place, and it’s looking all set to welcome the public from this Monday the 7th of October.
