26 June: road closure & detour near Papanui Ward (since resolved)

There’s a road closure & detour just on the edge of Papanui Ward – take care if you’re in the vicinity of Aorangi/Ilam/Jeffreys Roads, and follow Transport for Christchurch for updates.

“ILAM RD / WAIRAKEI RD – WATER MAIN BLOW OUT – 12:30PM WED 26 JUN

A water main has blown out on Ilam Rd, a No Entry has been installed westbound into Ilam Rd.

Motorists wishing to access Ilam Rd from Wairakei Rd should use Idris Rd and Jeffreys Rd or Aorangi Rd. ^JP”
