Council approves first regeneration plan

Cranford Regeneration Plan progress: this afternoon 27 July the Council spent around fifty minutes discussing the draft Cranford Regeneration Plan. A significant part of the discussion was a potential affordable housing amendment, however staff advice was that this change could result in housing development in the Cranford Basin being “impossible to get off the ground”. Ultimately the Council voted to submit the draft plan to Regenerate Christchurch unchanged.
